  • Well, the Academy Award nominations are out, and it’s time to make our picks. I’ve decided to post one category per day (although I might skip days here and there, since there are 24 categories and 39 days until the Oscars), as well as our picks (“Our” meaning Marisa and myself). Keep in mind that our “picks” are who we would LIKE to win, not necessarily who we think WILL win, although they may coincide occasionally. Anyways, today’s category is:

    The Nominees Are:



    • The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

    • Spider-Man

    • Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

     


    Erin’s Pick: All 3 (I can’t decide)


    Marisa’s Pick: Ditto


     


    The Winner Last Year Was: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring


     


    How can the Academy force us to choose just one of those? I’ve predicted since May that this year’s Visual Effects race was gonna be close, and I was right. Realistically it’ll probably go to LOTR, but don’t quote me on that. By the way, this is the only time Marisa and I were undecided on our picks, so don’t get discouraged.
