  • For the first time in its existence, the Dumbest Commercial contest has a tie. Since I like having clear winners, I'm calling for a runoff vote. Here are the two finalists:

    1. Verizon

    2. Celine Dion's Perfume

Those of you who already voted for one of those don't need to vote again (unless you're changing your vote). I'll just assume that you would vote the same way. Please get your vote in by Saturday.

Yesterday was a pretty good day. I went over to Laura's and we hung out for a few hours. I brought over a bunch of Inuyasha episodes, and to my surprise, she liked it (Yay!). It was kind of interesting watching it with someone besides Liz (who was a fan long before I started watching it, and so I always feel like she knows more about it than I do, even though that's not really true anymore) or Marisa (who discovered it about the same time I did, and so we were always on the same level when we watched it together). Laura and I seem to have the ability to create hilarious inside jokes together, and this was no exception (hence the new slogan at the top of the site, which is from something Laura said). I also showed her my music video, which she loved.

Where is my break going? I go back to Denison a week from Sunday. I still have to get together with Stephanie at some point (I was supposed to last week, but then we were hit with a snowstorm and way below freezing temperatures). Plus, I want to meet up with Laura again (she borrowed my Inuyasha DVDs, plus she's been begging me to burn her a copy of the new Josh Groban CD, so I should probably get that to her before I leave as well). I wanted to teach her some fencing, but the only place we could do it is in our garage and the weather stripping has fallen off my mom's garage door so now it's way too cold in there to do it. After I went through all the trouble of bringing equipment home, it doesn't look like I'm going to get to use it. I get the feeling my parents are going to yell at me about it as well. But I'll deal with that if and when it happens. Right now I feel too happy to worry about it.

    Life is good.
