Movies
As you may or may not know, Oscar nominations will be announced tomorrow. As usual, I will be doing my annual Oscar picks for the next month. Hopefully, Marisa will be joining me as usual, and I’ll be looking for other participants as well. Of course,
Sports
This’ll be unusual. During Oscar season, we also have the Winter Olympics. Since I love the Winter Olympics almost as much as I love the Summer Olympics, I’ll be wanting to report on it daily, so expect some long posts in early February.
Musicals
I recently discovered the musical Wicked, and it’s since gone into my top 5, though I’ve never “officially” seen it. “Unofficially” is a different story (Who knew finding bootlegs would be so easy?). It’s actually gotten me a little more interested in acting again (normally I’m a backstage “techie” kind of person). Phantom is still my favorite, but I know it’s way out of my league as far as acting goes. For some reason, I think I can handle the songs in Wicked, as long as it was on a community theater level. It’s too bad that ain’t gonna happen, though, as it’s likely I’ll be dead of old age by the time the rights are released.
Education
I will likely be attending BGSU in the fall to pick up some more classes that’ll give me some “hands-on” experience I need for my resume. At least it’ll allow me to defer my student loan payments for a while.
