Anyways, this is gonna be a long entry, so prepare yourself. I promised I'd talk about the Styx concert, so I will. As I expected, it was awesome, although I couldn't get as close to the stage as I wanted to (stupid VIP seating). It was an outdoor venue, right in the middle of downtown Newark, and there were 35,000 people there. We had a pretty good view, but in order to accomplish that we had to set our chairs out 3 hours early. The only "near-encounter" this time was that Lawrence Gowan was watching us walk down the sidewalk next to the tour bus. However, he was on the bus, so that's as far as it went. At least it wasn't like last time, when Tommy Shaw and Todd Sucherman witnessed Chris and I acting like idiots, screaming whatever appeared on the electronic marquee at the SeaGate Centre. I got a bunch of pictures of the concert, but it's gonna take a while to post them. My dad had brought binoculars, which provided a view that was so up close that it almost seemed unreal. However, I still maintain that Styx is a band that was made for performances. The energy that flows from the band through the crowd is unbelievable. The band members are having just as much fun as the crowd, and you can feel it. The concert was followed by the most disorganized fireworks display I have ever seen (provided by the City of Newark, not Styx). However, it did nothing to dull the euphoric haze, and I look forward to the next concert.
Right now I'm supposed to be packing for Denison, and I'm trying my hardest to put it off as long as possible. My current task is to locate all my clothes, which is harder than it sounds. I swear to God that a pair of pants disappears every week. Plus, a bunch of my shirts were ruined by residual bleach in the washing machine, so I had to buy new shirts. I also have to prioritize my videos and books (you know, the REALLY important stuff). When my head stops spinning, I'll let you know...
